GREENSBURG, KY — The Kentuckiana District of the United States Postal Service has placed the Greensburg Post Office under emergency suspension due to conditions deemed potentially unsafe.
Effective Monday, October 19, Delivery operations will be moved to the Columbia Main Post Office. PO Box customer mail will be relocated to the Community Center at 110 N. First Street. PO Box mail will be available to customers Monday morning October 19.
PO Box hours at the Civic Center will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Customers will be able to use their existing key to retrieve their mail and there will be no change in customer addresses for Post Office Box customers.
Postal retail services are available at the following nearby Post Offices. Hours at the Summersville Post Office will be extended temporarily to assist customers’ retail needs.

Customers may also purchase stamps and shipping labels online using the Postal Service’s website, usps.com. Customers can also request free package pickup at usps.com. The Postal Service will pick up packages during regular mail delivery the next business day – and, unlike other shipping companies, there is no fee for this service.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
