BARBOURVILLE, KENTUCKY — The Barbourville Post Office will remove three blue collection boxes from service during the Daniel Boone Festival on October 6, 7, and 8, 2016.  One box is located at 200 Knox Street and two boxes are located at 401 Court Square.  The boxes are in the court house square and will be inaccessible to postal personnel and vehicles during this time.

Postal officials emphasize this is a temporary measure only.  All three boxes will be returned to service on Monday, October 10.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
