LANCASTER, KY — The Lancaster Post Office has reached a significant milestone.
A special ceremony will be held today, Friday, October 20, 2017 to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the Lancaster Post Office. The ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the 107 Danville Street location. Refreshments will be served.
“We are very pleased to invite the community to join us for this special event,” said Postmaster Gail Reams.
The Kentuckiana District serves ZIP Codes 400-409, 411-427 in Kentucky and 471, 476-477 in southern Indiana.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
