FRANKFORT, KENTUCKY – The Frankfort Post Office will celebrate two milestone events this week at the 1210 Wilkinson Blvd. location.

On Friday, May 18 at 1:00 p.m., Frankfort’s newest Postmaster, Nickolas “Nick” Stone, will take the Oath of Office.  Stone began his career in Louisville as a letter carrier in 1995.  He has served in several managerial positions since then, including Postmaster of Radcliff and most recently as manager at the Louisville St. Matthews Station.  Stone also has managerial experience outside the Kentuckiana District, serving as Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina Postmaster and station manager in Savannah, Georgia.  He is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

On Saturday, May 19, the Frankfort Post Office will officially dedicate its Passport Acceptance Office with a Passport Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  The remodeled unit is designed to accommodate walk-in customers as well as those who schedule appointments.  Regular hours for the Frankfort Passport Acceptance Office are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

For appointments during regular passport processing hours, the U.S. Postal Service has made scheduling easier with the launch of the USPS Retail Customer Appointment Scheduler™ tool (RCAS) at http://www.usps.com/schedulerThe RCAS™ tool provides customers with an easy, convenient way to schedule appointments to apply for a passport.
