(SHREVEPORT) --- Today, Postal officials reopened the Hall Summit and Jamestown Post Offices. Even though many cities and towns which makeup northwest Louisiana are flooded, the Postal Service remains vigilant about restoring normalcy to flood-impacted locations. Customers in these areas will have to pick up their mail in nearby cities. Those cities are listed in bold just below:

• (Gloster 71030 – Stonewall 71078)
• (Pioneer 71268  - Oak Grove – 71263)
• (Taylor 71080 – Arcadia 71001)
• (Fairbanks 71240 – Sterlington 71280)

While customers can pick up their mail with proper identification at the alternate Post Offices, retail and shipping services will also be available, such as Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail and First through Fourth-Class postage. In addition, Special Services like Registered and Certified Mail will be available for customers.

As water recedes in the impacted areas and conditions improve, both mail delivery and retail services will be restored at those three Post Offices.
