LAFAYETTE, LA — Due to torrential rains, which produced a ravaging flood in several Louisiana cities, customers will have to pick up their mail in a nearby alternate post office. Residents in Lake Arthur, LA (70549) will have to go to the Jennings LA Post Office (70546) and get their mail.

While customers can pick up their mail with proper identification at the alternate Post Office, retail and shipping services will also be available, such as Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail and First through Fourth-Class postage. In addition, Special Services like Registered and Certified Mail will be available for customers

As water recedes in the impacted areas and conditions improve, both mail delivery and retail services will be restored at this Post Office.
