Baton Rouge, LA — Due to recent flooding in several Louisiana cities, customers in Denham Springs, LA (70706) were directed to pick up their mail at a nearby alternate facility, the Baton Rouge Mail Processing Plant, located at 8101 Bluebonnet Road.

As conditions improve, the Postal Service is restoring mail delivery wherever roads are accessible.  Denham Springs customers who live in locations passable for vehicles should expect to receive mail delivery as soon as today.

P.O. Box customers in Denham Springs will continue to pick up their mail at the alternate site.  Customers can pick up their mail with proper identification.  Individuals needing retail services can visit the Denham Springs Post Office each day, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and utilize a mobile retail unit on site.

The mobile unit will ONLY be selling stamps and other services, including Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail and First through Fourth-Class postage. The unit will not be handing out customer mail. Mail must be retrieved at the location at 8101 Bluebonnet Road.

As water recedes in the impacted areas and conditions improve, both mail delivery and retail services will be restored at the Denham Springs Post Office.
