Lafayette – Today, the U.S. Postal Service announced that the Cade LA Post Office (70519), which is located at 1597 Old Spanish Trail, reopens for customers on September 28, 2016. Since the flood in August, customers have picked up their mail at the Broussard LA Post Office (70518), at 4200 Hwy 90 East.

On Monday, August 15, the Postal Service suspended operations at Cade LA Post Office, due to flash flooding from torrential rain.

We sincerely regret this inconvenience to our customers. However, the safety and well-being of both customers and employees is of utmost importance to the Postal Service.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
