Baton Rouge — Today, the U.S. Postal Service announced that the Robert LA Post Office (70455), which is located at 44225 Highway 445, reopens for customers on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016. On August 15, the Postal Service suspended operations at Robert, LA Post Office, due to flash flooding from torrential rain. Since then, customers have picked up their mail at the Hammond Post Office, located at 105 NW Railroad Ave., Hammond, LA 70401.

As of Saturday, Nov. 5, the Post Office will return to regular operating hours as follows:

Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Sunday Closed

We sincerely regret this inconvenience to our customers. However, the safety and well-being of both customers and employees is of utmost importance to the Postal Service.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
