Avery Island - U.S. Postal Service Continues to Emphasize Safety and Restore Service after Tropical Storm Harvey

Louisiana - Postal officials have restored mail delivery and retail services at the Avery Island Post Office (70513), 100 Main Rd., Avery Island, LA 70513-9998 effective Thursday, August 31, 2017. Customers who receive delivery from the Avery Island Post Office and are expecting a Treasury check or medications through the mail will receive delivery of these items and all available mail as normal. We appreciate the patience of our customers during this time.

All postal facilities in Louisiana will be fully operational on Thursday, August 31.

Retail and shipping services, such as Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail and First through Fourth-Class postage are available. Special Services like Registered and Certified Mail will also be available for customers.

The hours of operation at the Avery Island Post Office are 11:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
