BOSTON, MA — Most Post Offices in the Greater Boston area will close at noon on Dec. 24 with the exception of 11 offices, which will remain open past noon. Revised hours will be posted at each Post Office.
Eleven Greater Boston area Post Offices will be open during the following extended hours on Dec. 24:
6 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Fort Point Station, 25 Dorchester Ave., Boston, MA 02205
7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Malden Post Office, 109 Mountain Ave., Malden, MA 02148
7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Framingham Post Office, 330 Cochituate Rd., Framingham, MA 01701
- Waltham Post Office, 776 Main St., Waltham, MA 02454
- Woburn Post Office, 462 Washington St., Woburn, MA 01801
- Worcester Post Office, 4 East Central St., Worcester, MA 01613
8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Brockton Post Office, 120 Commercial St., Brockton, MA 02302
- Peabody Post Office, 4 Essex Center Dr., Peabody, MA 01960
- Norwood Post Office, 1 Central St., Norwood, MA 02062
- Quincy Post Office, 47 Washington St., Quincy, MA 02169
9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Hyannis Post Office, 385 Main St., Hyannis, MA 02601
All Post Offices in the Greater Boston area will be open on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31 during normal business hours. Regular mail delivery and collections remain unaffected on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31.
Fort Point Station, located at 25 Dorchester Ave., Boston, MA 02205, will be the only Post Office in the Greater Boston area to be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
