In the wake of June being National Safety Month, Fitchburg Post Office will honor three of its letter carriers for driving at least one million miles in their careers without a preventable motor vehicle accident. Each June, the National Safety Council celebrates National Safety Month as a time to bring attention to key safety issues. According to the National Safety Council, from 2005 to 2013, more than 9,300 Postal Service employees have driven a million, accident-free miles.
