This new stamp depicts a Coast Guard Helicopter and the Eagle, the service’s magnificent, square-rigged barque sailing ship. It’s a reminder that the Coast Guard, like the USPS, has its roots in the very early years of this country’s history and today remains a relevant, productive contributor to the nation’s welfare. |

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
