Edgartown, MA — The Edgartown Post Office at 236B Vineyardhaven Rd in Edgartown will be closed temporarily due to issues related to water damage incurred as a result of leakage from recent storms while the building is being remodeled. While no firm timetable has been established to reopen the office, the building manager and contractor on site are working with the Postal Service to minimize any inconvenience to our customers.
Retail services are available at the Oak Bluffs Post Office at 24E Kennebec Ave in Oak Bluffs from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday and at the Vinyard Haven Post Office at 1 Lagoon Pond Rd in Vineyard Haven from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
All Mail and packages currently in Edgartown should be transferred to the Vineyard Haven Post Office by close of business on Monday, April 4. Post Office box holders from the Edgartown Post Office will be able to retrieve their mail and packages at the Vineyard Haven Post Office at 1 Lagoon Pond Rd. in Vineyard Haven during regular retail hours until the Edgartown station reopens.
Current Edgartown P.O. Box holders should bring proper identification to the Vineyard Haven Post Office when retrieving their mail and follow the signage inside the front door to the rear of the lobby. We thank our Martha’s Vineyard customers for their cooperation and their patience as we work to remedy this issue.
