SPRINGFIELD, MA — Post Offices in Western Massachusetts that are normally open on Saturday will be open Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24 for their normal Saturday hours; except the Ingleside Postal Store in Holyoke, which will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. only.
Blue collection boxes will follow their normal schedule with the time posted on the box to let customers know when the mail in the box will be picked up.
All Post Offices will be closed on Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25th and Monday, December 26th and there will be no mail delivery, except Priority Express Mail, on those days. Regular mail and hours will resume on Tuesday, December 27th.
Post Offices will be open their normal hours on New Year’s Eve with normal pick up times at the blue collection boxes. Post Offices will be closed on Sunday, January 1st and Monday, January 2nd and there will be no mail delivery, except Priority Express Mail, on those days. Normal mail operations will resume on Tuesday, January 3rd.
Many postal services are also available online at www.usps.com and some Post Offices have a 24 hour Self Service Kiosk in their lobbies to serve customers. Customers can call 1-800-ASK-USPS to find out if their Post Office has a kiosk.
