Million miler George Stockwell

Worcester, MA – City letter carrier George Stockwell was recently presented with a plaque commemorating his 30 years of safe driving. His name was also added to the Million Mile Wall at the Worcester Post Office alongside others who’ve achieved this noteworthy status.

Mr. Stockwell is shown here with National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 12 President Kenneth Janulewicz and acting Worcester Postmaster Rich Burke.

While most people drive to and from work, many of our carriers spend the bulk of their day travelling in their postal vehicles. That, combined with the fact that they’re out there in every kind of weather and adverse conditions, makes a safety record like this even more remarkable.

The Postal Service is proud to have employees like George who put safety first for our business and our customers.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
