Background: |
The Postal Service has been has been informed by the landlord in our current facility that they will not enter into a new long term lease. As a result, the Postal Service will be relocating the retail services provided at the Charlestown Post Office located at 136 Charles Street in Boston. Our goal is for Postal retail services to remain in the community at a different Physical location within the same geographical area. There will be no changes to mail delivery, customers’ addresses or Post Office Boxes as a result of this relocation. U.S. Postal Service representative will discuss proposed plans at the 6:00 p.m. Public meeting Written comments on the proposal will be accepted until October 24, 2018 and may be submitted to: Michael K.
