OCEAN CITY, MD — To increase convenience and access to postal services and products, residents in the Ocean City area will have more choices when it comes to fulfilling their postal needs.
A new Contract Postal Unit (CPU) will be opening at the Wockenfuss Candy Store located at 12641 Ocean Gateway, in the White Marlin Mall.
A grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 13 at 2:00 p.m.
Customers can purchase stamps, mail letters and packages, and purchase nearly all mailing services — including both domestic and international — at the same prices available at Post Offices.
“The CPU will provide a full range of postal service and products with the exception of money orders, says Acting Ocean City Postmaster Ken Carter. The Wockenfuss location is another way we’re extending our services to our customers and making it more convenient to do business with us,” added Carter.
Hours of operation at the new retail postal location are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The community is invited to attend the Grand Opening ceremony. Light refreshments will be served.
