GLEN BURNIE, MD–To maximize efficiency, The U.S. Postal Service will relocate Glen Burnie Retail Office. The facility, located at 7728 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie, Maryland, houses retail operations and Post Office box service.
Retail operations and Post Office boxes will be moved to Glen Burnie Post Office at 7596 Ritchie Highway less than ½ mile away on January 19, taking advantage of surplus space in that building. The new location will offer customers the same postal retail services and products that were offered at the old location.
Customers will have access to their Post Office boxes in the lobby area 24/7. Also available in the lobby is an Automated Postal Center (APC) that allows customers to perform most of the mailing transactions with a credit card that are available at the retail counter. Retail hours will remain the same, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and closed Sunday.
“It is important for the Postal Service to continue looking for ways to improve productivity and increase efficiency, “said Glen Burnie Officer-in-Charge Dale Thompson, “Customers can be assured they will continue to receive the same excellent service to which they are accustomed.”
If customers would like more information they can contact Postmaster Thompson at 410-766-8882.
