A select group of postal customers is acknowledged and recognized for their contributions to the continued success of the mailing industry at the annual National Postal Forum.

They are committed to producing winning results and these awards honor that commitment.
Headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, Johns Hopkins Medicine is an integrated global health enterprise and one of the leading health systems in the United States. Johns Hopkins Medicine operates five academic and community hospitals, four suburban health care and surgery centers, 25 primary health care outpatient sites, has more than 1.5 million outpatient encounters, and includes Johns Hopkins Home Care Group (JHHCG), a full service home care provider. A subsidiary of JHHCG, Johns Hopkins Pharmaquip, annually treats 82,000 adults and children in central Maryland, providing them with durable medical equipment and supplies, infusion therapy services and retail pharmacy medications.
Pharmaquip used various shipping companies for their distribution needs. During a meeting with JHHCG, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) offered to provide them with an optional business solution that would match their business needs. The solution had to meet JHHCG’s tracking and labeling requirements; one to three day delivery standard and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). USPS presented a solution that addressed all of those requirements and JHHCG agreed to the implementation.
The new shipping system utilized several USPS products, including Express Mail, Priority Mail, First-Class Mail, Signature Confirmation and Merchandise Return. JHHCG partnered with Endicia in the development of an integrated system that worked with their present warehouse distribution system to meet all of JHHCG’s requirements and to allow them to obtain the best possible shipping price. Through this new solution, they were also able to utilize historical reporting information to monitor service and performance and that, in turn, increased overall customer satisfaction.
