WOODSTOCK, MD — The Postal Service is hosting a celebration for the new home of the Woodstock Post Office. The community is invited to join postal officials on Thursday, June 30, at 11:00 a.m. for the ribbon- cutting ceremony.
The Woodstock Post Office moved from 10501 Old Frederick Road to its new location at 10805 Birmingham Way in Woodstock, MD, on June 13th.
The hours at the new office will remain the same: Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The new office will offer 24 -hour lobby access, allowing customer to retrieve their Post Office Box mail anytime throughout the day or night. The new office is a brand new retail space and is handicapped-accessible.
“We are very pleased to move to our new facility,” said Woodstock Postmaster Cheryl Edwards. “We look forward to providing continued excellent service to the customers we serve each and every day.”
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
