FINKSBURG, MD — The U.S. Postal Service officials announced that a decision has been made to relocate the Finksburg Post Office.
A public meeting was held on August 30, 2016, at the Finksburg Public Library to discuss the plan to move the Finksburg Post Office due to the current facility being too large for postal operational needs. After careful consideration of all concerns expressed, the Postal Service has decided to proceed with the new facility in a yet-to-be determined location. The new facility will allow the Postal Service to maintain and improve our service to the community.
The Postal Service’s goal is to select a new facility as close to the current site a possible. The new facility will allow USPS to offer a safe working environment for employees and still maintain the same level of quality service currently provided at Finksburg Post Office located at 2999 Dede Road, Baltimore, MD 21048-9998.
Postal operations will continue at the existing location until the replacement facility is open and fully functional.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
