ANNAPOLIS, MD – No matter how far away a traveler’s destination is, the Post Office is the most convenient place to apply for a passport to get started on the journey. To help travelers with their applications, the Eastport Post Office located at 821 Chesapeake Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403 is hosting a Passport Fair, Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Appointments are not necessary.
To help the Passport Fair application process go smoothly and efficiently, the Postal Service recommends the following:
- Bring proper proof of American citizenship. This must be either a certified birth certificate issued by the city, county or state; a previous U.S. passport; a certificate of citizenship; or a naturalization certificate. (Please note: a hospital-issued birth certificate alone is not acceptable.)
- Total passport book fees for adults age 16 and over are $135 and $105 for children under age 16. Total passport card fees for adults age 16 and over is $55 and $40 for children under age 16.
- Bring a photocopy of proof of identity. Each applicant must bring a photocopy of the front and back of the ID that will be presented at the time of passport acceptance.
- The passport application requires recent color passport photograph of you (2” x 2” in size). The Post Office will offer passport photo service for $15.
- All applicants must appear in person (including minors). Minors under the age of 14 must appear with both parents. If one parent is not available, a notarized authorization from the absent parent is required.
