Portland — In advance of Independence Day and the July 5 legal holiday, all Maine Post Offices will be open normal hours on Saturday, July 3 and regular mail delivery will take place as usual.
Mail that is deposited in Postal Service blue collection boxes and Post Office building lobby receptacles will be picked up at the posted time on Saturday. In addition, Post Offices which have Automated Postal Center kiosks will fully stock the self-service machines prior to the long weekend. Most Postal transactions can be accomplished and paid for via credit or debit card at an APC.
Post Offices will be closed on Monday, July 5. Express Mail will be delivered. Regular mail delivery will resume Tuesday, July 6
