Portland, ME —Post Offices across the state will be closed on Wednesday, November 11th, and there will be no regular mail delivery in observance of the Veteran’s Day Holiday.
The Postal Service is proud to employ nearly 112,800 veterans nation-wide, approximately 18% of our workforce. Including more than 12,000 female veterans and more than 2,000 Postmasters who have served in our military.
The Postal Service has always been one of the largest employers of veterans in the nation and has a long tradition of honoring those who served.
Normal Post Office operations will resume on Thursday, November 12th.
