Post Office closings for July 4

We’ll be open for business as usual on Saturday, July 2 but closed for the Independence Day holiday on Monday, July 4.

While the Postal Service is observing Independence Day on Monday, there are still easy ways to access stamps and other mailing services over the holiday weekend.  More than 2,500 self-service kiosks are available in postal lobbies around the nation, averaging more than $1.6 million each day in stamps sales, package acceptance and post office box payments.

Kiosks users can weigh and ship packages, buy postage, mail letters, and look up ZIP Codes. Special services like certified mail and insurance are also available.

To find out available hours, services and the locations of kiosks along with nearby retailers who provide stamps at face value, visit www.usps.com and select the Locate A Post Office search function.

Normal mail delivery, collections, and postal retail operations will resume on Tuesday, July 5.
