Maine — The Postal Service has been busy at record levels this holiday season delivering cards, letters and packages across the state.  And we’ll be there down to the wire to make sure your holiday shipping needs are met.

Saturday, December 23, will see normal delivery and retail operations across the state. The Post Offices in Auburn, Belfast, Brunswick, Ellsworth, Houlton, Lewiston, Presque Isle, Sanford, South Berwick, Waterville, Wells, Windham and Yarmouth will even be open on Sunday morning, December 24, for package pick-up from 9-11 a.m.

While Post Offices will be closed on Christmas Day, Santa’s Elves in Blue will be out on Monday delivering Priority Mail Express packages.

Full retail and delivery operations will resume on Tuesday, December 26.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
