Biddeford, ME — You know you need a passport for international travel. But did you know that, because of the passage of the REAL ID law, later this year Maine residents may need a passport to board domestic flights?

With average processing times of 6 weeks or more, now is the time to start planning that summer vacation and Biddeford Post Office wants to make that easy with extended hours for passport processing.

The Biddeford Post Office at 100 Alfred St. Biddeford will be open on Saturday, July 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and clerks are available to take your photo if you don’t have one.

USPS.com is an excellent resource for getting passport paperwork and locating other acceptance facilities across the nation.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
