Lansing MI – ‘Ship-N-Save’ a holiday packing and shipping assistance service provided by employees at the Lansing Main Post Office will be held this year.

The date of this annual event will be Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the main office location, 4800 Collins Rd., Lansing MI.

At this event, customers can bring their gifts to either one of the locations where postal employees will provide patrons with shipping boxes, packing materials and tape before entering the package at the Post Office counter for shipping.

Additionally Priority Mail® flat rate boxes will also be available to make the holiday shipping experience simpler for customers as well.  These boxes add the simplicity and ease of use for customers to mail their gifts.

“We know the holidays are a busy season for everyone, so we want to help ease the stress by being available and helping customers get their packages to their destination as efficiently as possible,” says Postmaster Kim Dontje.

To take advantage of ‘Ship & Save’ day, customers must enter their packages for mailing that same day (Saturday, December 13th) at the main office location.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
