Sturgis MI — The U.S. Postal Service is committed to making sure the holiday season will be accommodating for our customers and this even includes Sundays.

Once again certain post office locations will have Sunday retail hours for the three Sundays prior to Christmas, beginning Sunday December 6, 2015 and then December 13th and December 20th.

“We realize as the holidays get closer, opening on Sundays will help our customers with stamp purchases as well as mailing their holiday cards and packages”,  said Sabrina Todd, Media Coordinator for the U.S. Postal Service, Greater Michigan District.

“We expect to deliver about 15.5 billion cards, letters and packages nationwide this year, and we’re hoping that opening retail operations on Sundays will help smooth the process”, she further added.

The Sturgis Post Office retail location(s) will be open the following dates/times:

They expect to deliver on average approximately 5 million packages every Sunday during December

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
