Tonya Smith Sworn in as Grand Blanc Postmaster

GRAND BLANC, MI — On Thursday, August 17, 2017, Tonya Smith took the official oath of office as Postmaster for the Grand Blanc Post Office, 11426 Davis St., Grand Blanc, MI 48480.

Smith began her U.S. Postal Service career in 1991 as a mail processing clerk in Flint, MI. In 2004, she began her management career supervising carriers and clerks at several post offices in Flint, MI.

“I am truly honored to be Postmaster in Grand Blanc,” says Smith. “I look forward to serving the American public in this way.”

Along with spending time with family and friends, Smith enjoys singing at her church and working with young people. She has three adult children all currently attending college.

Smith was a member of the United States Army Reserves and currently attends Mid-America Christian University working on a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and Ethics.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
