Ypsilanti Post Office to establish Consumer Advisory Council and hold “Meet with the Postmaster” events

DETROIT, MI — The Ypsilanti, MI Post Office plans to establish a Consumer Advisory Council (CAC).  The purpose of a CAC is to work more closely with the Ypsilanti, Whittaker, and Willis communities toward a mutual goal of improving customer experience with the Postal Service. CACs are excellent sources for community feedback and offer an opportunity to strengthen community relations.

The Postal Service will accept applications and answer questions about the Consumer Advisory Council at two separate sessions on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from  4:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. and at 5:30 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the Ypsilanti – Adams Station, 108 S. Adams, Ypsilanti, MI 48197. All residents of the Ypsilanti, Whittaker, and Willis communities are welcome to apply.

If customers are unable to attend in person and would like to become a member of the Ypsilanti Postal Consumer Advisory Council, applications are available at the following Post Offices:

Please complete the application and return it to: Attn: CAC Application, Ypsilanti Adams Station, 108 S. Adams, Ypsilanti MI 48197. Applications will be accepted through April 30, 2018.

Improving the customer experience is a core business strategy for the Postal Service. For customers who have concerns about their mail delivery, the Ypsilanti Post Office will also hold monthly “Meet with the Postmaster” events. Customers can meet with the postmaster or make individual appointments to discuss their concerns.

The first scheduled events will be held at the Ypsilanti – Adams Station, 108 S. Adams, Ypsilanti, MI 48197. The dates and times include:

Tuesday, April 3      10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.
Saturday, April 7     10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.
Thursday, April 12     3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M.

Tuesday, May 8        3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Saturday, May 19     10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.
Thursday, May 24    9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M.

More dates and times will be announced throughout the year.
