MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The U.S. Postal is hiring more than 150 employees to assist with holiday mail processing at facilities throughout Minnesota.
The non-career mail handler and mail processing positions pay from $10-15.26/hr. (depending on the position). Appointments run Nov. 15 through Jan. 9 and may lead to additional appointments based on organizational need. Positions are available at facilities in the Twin Cities, Duluth, Mankato, Rochester and St. Cloud.
This is physically demanding work in a warehouse-type setting. Candidates must be available weekends and holidays. Afternoon and evening shifts are likely and hires will work 35-40 hours per week (overtime paid after 40 hours).
- Applicants must be 18 years of age, or High School graduates
- Employees must be a United States citizen, a lawful permanent resident alien (i.e., possession of a “green card”), a citizen of American Samoa or any other territory owing permanent allegiance to the United States. Individuals solely granted asylum status, refugee status or conditional permanent resident status are not eligible
- Must be able to perform duties of position with or without reasonable accommodation
