William Jones will be sworn in as the 36th Postmaster of Minneapolis, MN and John Morgan will be sworn in as the 32nd Postmaster of Saint Paul, MN. The community is invited to attend.

Background:  

As Minneapolis Postmaster Jones has administrative responsibility for 1,634 employees, a total of 33 Stations and Branches, 904 city routes and 13 rural routes. As Saint Paul Postmaster Morgan has administrative responsibility for 1,073 employees, a total of 26 Stations and Branches, 538 city routes and 50 rural routes. Excellent mail service and customer satisfaction are high priorities for both Jones and Morgan.

Will Jones retired from the United States Army after 16 years and joined the Postal Service as a clerk in 1991. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1997 with a degree in Communications. Will additionally served as a mail handler and city carrier, as well as in many postal management positions including:

  • Manager, Customer Services of the Elway Station in Saint Paul
  • Manager, Customer Service Operations for the City of Saint Paul
  • Manager, Operations Programs Support for the Northland District

“My most important mission as Postmaster of Minneapolis is to keep my employees safe so they can return home to their loved ones each and every day while continuing to improve our service to our customers,” says Jones.

John Morgan is an 8 ½ year Army Veteran and joined the Postal Service as a city carrier in 1995. He held a multitude of postal management positions including:

  • Manager, Customer Services of the Valle Verde station in Henderson, NV
  • Post Office Operations Manager for both the Nevada-Sierra and Mid-America Districts
  • Postmaster for the City of Kansas City, MO
  • Manager, Operations Programs Support for both the Nevada-Sierra and Arizona Districts
