KANSAS CITY, MO — The U.S. Postal Service is looking to hire about 20 Rural Carrier Associates (RCA) and about a dozen Postmaster Relief (PMR) employees in the Bolivar and Stockton, MO areas. PMRs and RCAs also are needed in Marshfield, Buffalo and Fair Grove.
Neither RCAs nor PMRs are considered full-time positions with the Postal Service, however, a good work record could result in an offer of a career position with USPS.
The hourly wage for RCAs is $15.87. RCAs typically cover rural routes for full-time rural carriers during vacation periods or as needed. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required.
PMRs earn $11.76 per hour and work as leave replacements for Postmasters and cover vacant Postmaster positions as needed. They sell stamps, sort mail, and provide customer service in our smaller Post Offices. PMRs also earn annual leave (vacation time) for every 20 hours worked.
