ST LOUIS, MO — Most Post Offices in the St Louis Metropolitan Area will open until noon on Christmas Eve. Post Offices will remain open regularly scheduled hours on New Year’s Eve. Revised hours will be posted at Post Offices. Regular mail delivery will be unaffected by the change.
For commercial mail customers, Bulk Mail Entry Units holiday hours for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are:
- St. Louis BME - business as usual
- Springfield, IL, and Columbia, MO, until 5 p.m
- All other BME locations close at noon
Customers using blue collection boxes are advised to check with their local post office for pick up times. Customers also may call 1.800.ASK.USPS for additional information.
Post Offices will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Only Priority Mail Express will be delivered on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. All Post Offices will be open and regular mail delivery will resume Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
