ST LOUIS —The U.S. Postal Service will observe the federal holiday honoring the anniversary of the birth of noted civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 19, 2015.  Post Offices across Central and Northeastern Missouri and Central and Southern Illinois will be closed and there will be no mail delivery.

Customers needing postal services may use self-service kiosks at select locations or visit Postal Service Approved Shippers such as Office Depot and Staples. Go to https://tools.usps.com/go/POLocatorAction to find a location near you.

Self Service kiosks are located at:

St. Louis Metro Area:  Des Peres, Gaffney, Creve Coeur, Sappington, South County, Mackenzie Pointe, Kirkwood, Clayton Dutch Hollow Fairview Heights, Southwest Station, O’Fallon, IL, St. Charles, St. Peters, O’Fallon, MO, Florissant, Town and Country, Ballwin, Chesterfield, Arnold.

Central Missouri:  Capital View Station (Jefferson City), Columbia, MO

Illinois:  Champaign, Carbondale and Memorial Station (Decatur, IL)

Mail will be collected from blue street collection boxes on Monday.  Postal officials advise anyone with stamped or metered mail ready for delivery, especially businesses, to drop this mail into a blue collection box instead of waiting to do so the following day.

Post Offices will reopen and mail delivery will resume on Tuesday, January 20.
