Brian Perron will be sworn in as the 32nd Postmaster of Independence, MO. The community is invited to attend.

Background: As Independence Postmaster Perron has administrative responsibility for 167 employees a total of two Branches, a Finance Unit, 93 city routes and five rural routes. Excellent mail service and customer satisfaction are high priorities for Perron.

Perron, a retired Veteran who served 22 years in the United States Army, began his Postal Career in 2000 as a Casual City Carrier in Westminster, CA.  In 2003, he came to the Mid-America District relocating to Kansas City, MO.  He began the Associate Supervisor Program in 2005 after returning from a deployment to Iraq.  Upon graduation, he was stationed at the Indian Creek Branch in Shawnee Mission, KS.  In 2008, he was promoted to Manager, Customer Services at the R.B. Rice Station in Lee’s Summit, MO.  He also served as Officer In Charge in Lee’s Summit, MO.

In 2013, Brian was promoted to Manager, Post Office Operations/Area 3.  It was here that he oversaw the operations of small to medium sized operations in 640, 644, 646, 647 and 648.  During his assignment of Manager, Post Office Operations, he served in several other Detail/Officer In Charge Capacities.  Those opportunities were Manager, Operations Programs Support, and Officer in Charge of Independence, MO, Manager, KCMO Vehicle Maintenance Facility, Lean Six Sigma District Coordinator, and Officer In Charge of Buena Park, CA.

Perron is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and is Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Trained. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Independence Team and is excited about partnering with them to take Independence to the next level of Safety, Service, and Costs.
