Pamela S. Lowery was recently named Postmaster of Jackson, MS, and will take the oath of office on Friday, July 17, 2015. The Master of Ceremonies will be Kevin Green, a member of the Jackson Area Postal Customer Council. The oath will be administered by Acting District Manager Susan Aronson. Lowery began her postal career in 1986 as a Part Time Flexible Clerk in the Computerized Forwarding System (CFS). She quickly became a team leader and also acted as unit supervisor until promoted to the position in 1991. From there, she was detailed to managing delivery operations, leading to her first Postmaster position. She progressed through Postmaster assignments of increasing level and responsibility, and with that knowledge and experience, became Manager of Post Office Operations in 2009. Lowery served in that position five years until her recent selection as Postmaster, Jackson, MS. Lowery attended Jacksonville State University and Miles College, with a primary focus in Business Management. She has also completed the Postal Service’s Managerial Leadership, EAS Leadership, and Crisis Management Programs. |
