Fuquay-Varina, NC – The Fuquay-Varina Post Office announces the establishment of the Customer Advisory Council (CAC), a local meeting body designed to increase opportunities for customers to interact with postal representatives, and give a voice to the community served by the Post Office regarding ideas, recommendations and local issues.
“The CAC gives the local community a voice,” says Harry Headrick, Postmaster, Fuquay-Varina. “Customer empowerment and involvement helps the community realize that the Postal Service cares about the quality of service we provide. It also allows us to be proactive to customer concerns, rather than reactive.”
Members of different segments of the community make up the council, representing diverse community voices and viewpoints. Meetings for the CAC are held monthly at the Post Office or designated locations, and also include postal officials like Postmaster Headrick and Cathel Brown, Manager, Consumer Affairs and Claims, Greensboro District.
“The CAC is an organized local mechanism for responding to consumer concerns,” says Brown. “When the community has an open dialogue with the Postal Service, it develops a partnership and allows for a better understanding of the process and of the organization. We’re very excited to be part of making this happen.”
The Customer Advisory Council is comprised of the following members: Co-Chairman Richard E.Warren, Sr., Cathel Brown, James Dewey, Nancy Dyer, Harry Headrick, Wes Wester and Tom Womble. Customers in the Fuquay-Varina area are encouraged to voice their recommendations or concerns with any of the members, including Postmaster Headrick at (919) 552-8693, or Cathel Brown, (919) 420-5126. The mailing address for the Council is PO Box 1701, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526-1701.

An independent federal agency, the U.S. Postal Service is the only delivery service that visits every address in the nation — 146 million homes and businesses. It has 37,000 retail locations and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to pay for operating expenses, not tax dollars. The Postal Service has annual revenues of $75 billion and delivers nearly half the world’s mail.
