Allison Grose named new Kernersville Postmaster

Allison GroseKERNERSVILLE, NC — Allison S. Grose was recently appointed new Postmaster of Kernersville. Grose, a High Point native and postal employee for 11 years, replaces Linda Trogdon, who retired.

“Kernersville is a growing community and I want the Postal Service to grow and evolve with it,” says Grose. “Between our main office, our 24-hour Automated Postal Center, and our new postal unit contracted at Juicy Java on Pineview Drive, we are in a position to help our customers around the clock and in so many ways. The town deserves to have excellent service.”

Grose began her career as a city letter carrier in High Point in April 1998 and spent five years in that position before graduating from the Postal Service’s Associate Supervisor Program in July 2003. In March 2005, she was promoted to Postmaster of Denton, NC. In February 2008, she was appointed as the Officer-in-Charge at Kernersville Post Office, and has been working there until selected permanently as Postmaster this month.

At the Kernersville Post Office, located at 325 W. Mountain Street, Grose is responsible for 69 employees and 36 routes that deliver about five million pieces of mail annually to over 23,000 delivery points and 1300 Post Office Boxes. The Post Office is open Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 5 pm, and Saturday 8:30 am – 12 noon. She also oversees postal operations at the contract unit at Juicy Java, 500 Pineview Drive, which is open Monday to Friday, 8 am – 6:30 pm, and Saturday, 9 am to 3 pm.

Grose now lives in Trinity with one son and one daughter. “We have an excellent staff of workers here in Kernersville that truly wants to focus on our customers and provide them with exceptional service,” she says. ”We wouldn’t exist without our customers.”
