WHAT:
The U.S. Postal Service will honor one of its own letter carriers in Archdale as he gets inducted into the National Safety Council’s Million Mile Club, which recognizes drivers who have gone at least 30 years without a preventable motor vehicle accident.
WHO:
High Point Postmaster Roy Montague and District Manager Russ Gardner will preside over a ceremony honoring Archdale city letter carrier Pete Lockhart, a resident of Lexington.

BACKGROUND:
The Million Mile Club is the highest honor given to a professional driver in the workplace by the National Safety Council, and according to the NSC, the status is to professional driving as reaching the peak of Mt. Everest is to the sport of climbing. Lockhart, earns this unique recognition to highlight his 31 years of government service.
