Ralph Forte, Dave Fields, Tobias Cuthbertson, Tom Callahan, John Walden and Arvin Concepcion celebrate Cuthbertson’s Million Mile Award.
CHARLOTTE, NC —District Manager Dave Fields and Postmaster Tom Callahan recognized Charlotte City Carrier Tobias Cuthbertson during a recent ceremony at Oakdale Station. Cuthbertson received the Million Mile Award from the U.S. Postal Service and the National Safety Council.
The award, acknowledging 30 years of accident-free driving, was the district’s 29th Million Mile award this fiscal year. Fields thanked Cuthbertson for his commitment to the district’s Motor Vehicle Safety program. “Our goal every day is for the more than 5,000 employees driving throughout the district to serve our customers and return home safely at the end of their day. Thank you for doing that for more than 30 years.”
Postmaster Tom Callahan thanked Cuthbertson, as well, stating, “It’s not a small feat. And, we appreciate you being conscientious day in and day out.” NALC Branch 545 President John Walden echoed Callahan’s sentiments. “Thanks for making your fellow letter carriers proud of the job we do.”
Cuthbertson will also be considered for recognition as the FY2011 Capital Metro Area Best Safe Driver of the Year.
