RAMSEUR, NC — Erik Iddings, formerly Postmaster of Zionville, has officially been named Postmaster of Ramseur. Iddings replaces Suzie Isom, who returned to her regular assignment.
Iddings, a native and resident of Asheboro, brings 13 years of experience to the Postmaster position in Ramseur. He began his postal career in Franklinville in 1999 as a Postmaster Relief (PMR) before being promoted to Postmaster of Ether, NC in 2006. He was elevated to PM of Zionville in 2007 and managed that Post Office until coming to Ramseur in July. He received an Associates Degree in Automotive Technology from Randolph Community College following graduation from Faith Christian School in Ramseur. He volunteers as an examiner for the American Radio Relay League (for Ham radio), and is certified as a SKYWARN weather spotter.
“My goal is to provide the residents of Ramseur with excellent customer service,” said Iddings. “I hope to bring my experience to this community for the benefit of all our customers.
In Ramseur, the Post Office is located at 1514 Main Street, where Iddings is responsible for more than 10,000 pieces of mail monthly being delivered to 638 Post Office Boxes. The office is open for retail business Monday-Friday 9 am – 12 noon and 1 – 4:30 pm.
