Julian, NC — To increase convenience and access to postal services, a new Village Post Office is now open in Julian. The Julian Trading Post VPO, 6505 Liberty Road, Julian, NC, will be open seven days a week – Monday – Friday 6 am-9 pm, Saturday 7 am-9 pm, and Sunday 9 am-6 pm.
Through the Postal Service’s Village Post Office (VPO) partnership with Julian Trading Post, local residents and businesses in Julian and the surrounding area will enjoy the convenience of a Post Office. The Julian Trading Post Village Post Office will provide a specific range of products and services that include booklets of First-Class postage stamps, Flat-Rate prepaid Priority Mail products and limited mail acceptance. The telephone number for this VPO is 336-685-9739. The postal authority overseeing this VPO is Joann Carter, Acting Postmaster, Climax Post Office.
The Village Post Office is a new concept the Postal Service unveiled last spring for consideration in communities where there is no existing Post Office or where the Post Office will have reduced hours. VPOs are designed for non-Postal Service establishments, such as an existing community businesses, town halls, libraries, or government centers.
