district’s best award from DM Russ Gardner (left) and PM John Connally
BURLINGTON, NC — Gloria Lambeth, a 16-year employee and sales and service associate (SSA) at Burlington Post Office, was recognized with great fanfare recently when she achieved the highest honor available in her position – the 2013 Capital Metro Area (CMA) SSA of the Year. The Capital Metro Area covers eight postal districts in five states and Washington, DC.
The selection of Lambeth, a resident of Pleasant Garden, is the end result of a reward program sponsored by CMA Vice President Kristin Seaver, which aims to acknowledge the positive efforts of the retail associates. The program measures the associates’ number of transactions, overall productivity, walk-in revenue and integrity, and considers the SSA’s ability to serve as an example and role model to colleagues.
At Burlington PO, she was joined at a breakfast by family members, colleagues, and a leadership group that included Seaver, Greensboro District Manager Russ Gardner, Area Marketing Manager Tammy Edwards, and Burlington Postmaster John Connally. “You earned this award over more than 12,500 retail associates from Maryland down to Atlanta, GA,” said Seaver. “Your customers and your community depend on you to do your job well, and we all appreciate how you represent the U.S. Postal Service every single day.”
