LOUISBURG, NC — To increase convenience and access to postal services, a new Village Post Office is now open in Louisburg. The Louisburg VPO at Five Star Grocery, 3582 NC 39 Highway N, Louisburg, NC, is open seven days a week – Monday-Saturday, 6 am – 11:30 pm and Sunday, 8 am – 11 pm.
Through the Postal Service’s Village Post Office (VPO) partnership with Five Star Grocery, local residents and businesses in Louisburg and surrounding areas will enjoy the convenience of a Post Office. The Louisburg Village Post Office will provide a specific range of products and services that include booklets of First-Class postage stamps, Flat-Rate prepaid Priority Mail products and limited mail acceptance. The Village Post Office is a fairly new concept the Postal Service unveiled in 2011 for consideration in communities where there is no existing Post Office or where the Post Office will have reduced hours. VPOs are designed for non-Postal Service establishments, such as an existing community businesses, town halls, libraries, or government centers.
