CHARLOTTE, NC — This Saturday, December 20, is the recommended deadline for Priority Mail service in time for Christmas delivery. Several Charlotte Post Offices are extending their Saturday retail hours to give customers a little extra time to finish their shopping and get those cards and packages in the mail.
“They’ve finished they’re shopping; now it’s time for the shipping,” said Charlotte Postmaster Le Gretta Ross-Rawlins. “Customers have been in the stores all week, and now they’re looking for ways to get those packages in the mail. The Postal Service is here for them.”
Several local Post Offices will be there for customers a little longer this Saturday, December 20. The following offices will offer retail services as indicated below:

Adding extra hours at select locations is just one of the many ways the Postal Service is making the holidays easier for customers. “This is Our Season!” Ross-Rawlins added. “We worked on our game plan all year, and now, our customers are winning – with extra time and even extra days!”
Customers across the state have already been enjoying an added delivery day with the Postal Service’s recent announcement of seven-day delivery during the holidays. And 13 offices in the Charlotte area are also open Sunday for customers who really “push the envelope.”
This Sunday, December 21, the following Post Offices will offer full retail services from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
