NORTH CAROLINA — In observance of Thanksgiving, Post Offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, and there will be no mail delivery with the exception of Priority Mail Express.

Post Offices will be open on a normal schedule on Friday, Nov. 24. Normal delivery and collection schedules will resume Friday, Nov. 24.

For customer convenience, stamps and other postal products are available at alternate locations and online:

  • Stamps are available at many grocery, pharmacy and convenient stores.
  • For 24/7 access to most postal products and services, go to www.usps.com. There you can print postage online or find the nearest self-service kiosk.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
