GREENSBORO, NC – U.S. Postal Service Business Development Specialists invite the public to attend “Grow Your Business Day”. This one-day event will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 4, at the Summit Station Post Office located at 1585 Yanceyville St. in Greensboro.

The workshop provides information on Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) and is designed to help business owners promote their industry without the cost of mailing lists or permits. EDDM is the first in a series of initiatives to assist business owners in underscoring their product or service through efficient and affordable business mailings.

“We periodically hold these seminars not only to educate, but also to receive feedback from customers to determine the needs of small business owners,” said Business Development Specialist Ian Pannell.

The presentation will feature a detailed presentation on the simple process of selecting a campaign message, target audience and preparation of EDDM mailings.

“We will provide information on how to do it yourself or with the assistance of mailing house vendors,” said Pannell. “Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the effectiveness of direct mail.”

Attendees can pre-register or ask questions by contacting GrowMyBusiness@usps.gov.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
